What Sets Kaizen Academy Apart

At Kaizen, we don't just teach martial arts — we build people. Here's what that looks like in practice:

No Contracts. Ever.

We don't believe in locking families in. You stay because you want to — and trust us, you'll want to.

A Free One-on-One Intro Lesson

Every new student starts with a private introductory lesson. No group. No pressure. Just you and your instructor.

30-Day Satisfaction Guarantee

Not happy within the first 30 days? We'll make it right. No questions asked.

Small Classes. Real Attention.

Our instructors don't manage rooms — they develop students. Small class sizes mean your child is seen, coached, and challenged every single session.

Instructors Who Never Stop Learning

Our team trains continuously so the teaching stays sharp, consistent, and always one step ahead.

A Community That Keeps Families Coming Back

We've built something rare — a place where kids and adults feel at home from day one. Many of our families have been with us for years. That's not an accident.

Common Questions About Kaizen Academy's Programs

  • What age does my child need to be to start martial arts at Kaizen Academy?

Children can start as young as 4 years old with our Lil' Dragons program, which runs through age 6. The Champions Program begins at age 7 and continues through the teen years. The Masters Program is open to students who have earned a Green Belt. Adults of any age are welcome in our Adult Fitness Training program.
  • Does my child need any prior experience to join a program?

No prior experience is needed for any of our programs. Every program is built to accommodate beginners from day one. Your child's first class will focus on basic movement, listening, and a few foundational techniques — nothing that requires any background in martial arts. We meet every student where they are.
  • How does belt progression work at Kaizen Academy?

We teach Shotokan karate — a traditional Japanese style known for its linear, precise techniques. Students advance through a series of colored belts by demonstrating technical skills and knowledge at each level. Most students test for a new belt every two to three months, depending on attendance and readiness. There's no mandatory testing timeline.
  • Can I try a class before committing to enrollment?

Yes. Every new student receives a free one-on-one introductory lesson with an instructor before enrolling. We don't require a contract at any level. And if you enroll and aren't satisfied within your first 30 days, we'll refund your tuition in full. We want you to be confident this is the right fit before you commit.
  • Do you offer martial arts classes for adults as well as kids?

Yes. Our Adult Fitness Training program is designed specifically for adults and combines kickboxing, conditioning drills, and martial arts fundamentals into a structured workout. It's a strong option for adults who want real fitness results alongside practical self-defense skills. No contract is required to join.
